DETAILED ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVAL DAY
On your arrival at Entebbe international airport our safari guide from African skimmer tours will be eagerly waiting to receive you. Upon your arrival the guide will pick you and drive you to the booked hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. According to your arrival time you may decide to have city tour around Kampala or stay at the hotel relaxing until dinner and overnight.
DAY 2: TRANSFER TO JINJA
Today you will have early morning breakfast after your safari guide will pick you and drive you to Jinja city passing the beautiful views of many tea plantations and sugarcane plantation in Jugazi and the continue to pass through amazing virgin Mabira natural forest with chances of watching primates along the way reaching around lunch time and participate in different activities like boat cruise to the source Nile monument or white water rafting on river Nile but their many activities on these amazing river like tubing, bug jumping, quad biking on the banks of river Nile so you can choose according to your interests.
Later return to booked hotel in Jinja for dinner and overnight
DAY 3: TRANSFER TO SIPI FALLS
You will have early morning breakfast and transfer to Sipi falls which takes around 3 hours’ drive from Jinja to Sipi falls. On reaching you will participate in nature walk to the falls where you can participate in abseiling or continue to the caves and in the afternoon after your lunch you will be taken to community for the cultural encounter visit the coffee plantations and visit the community for cultural dances and storytelling.
You later return to the booked lodge hotel for dinner and overnight.
DAY 4: TRANSFER TO KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
You will have early morning breakfast and check out of the lodge and drive to the northeast of Uganda to the land pastoralist with ,the amazing views of Paine-upe game reserve along the way reaching in late afternoon in the park and check in to the booked lodge for lunch and relaxation until dinner and overnight
Kidepo valley national park is home to over 77 species of mammals and 475 species of mammals and ostrich bird can only be sighted here in Uganda. Kidepo valley national park ranks among Africa’s finest wilderness with a picturesque savannah landscape extending far beyond the gazette area, towards horizons outlined by distant mountain ranges
DAY 5: FULL DAYS EXPLORE KIDEPO VALLEY NATIONAL PARK
You will wake up early in the morning and have cup of coffee/tea and drive for the early morning game drive to explore the wildlife in the true wilderness of kidepo valley national park like lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, sitatunga, Uganda kobs, bush bucks, zebras and many more with birding through identification of 475 species of birds.
You will later return to the lodge for full breakfast and relax until lunch and afternoon drive for another game drive takes you to plains of Kanangorok Hot spring towards mountains across Sudanese border and return to look for more wildlife you could have missed in the morning game drive and it’s the same area were you will find ostrich birds. You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6: MORNING RELAXATION AT THE LODGE AND AFTERNOON VISIT THE COMMUNITY
Today you will wake with relaxed breakfast and relax at the lodge will enjoying the hotel premises like swimming and sunbathing until lunch
In the afternoon you will walk to the karamojong community to discover their unique cultures of this remote tribe and pastoral community. You will spend all your afternoon learning their cultural customs through storytelling, cultural dances entertainment and demonstrating to you many activities and visit their Manyatas homesteads.
DAY 7: RETURN TO KAMPALA FOR DEPARTURE
You will wake up early morning with heavy breakfast and checkout of the lodge and embark on your long journey to Kampala passing via Gulu town with en-route lunch and stop at Karuma bridge for photo moments reaching Kampala in evening and drop off at Entebbe international airport for departure flight or have another option to check in at hotel of your choice in Entebbe/kampala
