Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe international airport and birding in the botanical gardens
Today our guide will be eagerly waiting for you at Entebbe international airport, on your arrival our guide from African skimmer tour will pick you and take you at booked hotel in Entebbe/Kampala but according to your arrival time we can go for birding around Entebbe botanical garden and then later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
Today you will be picked from the place of accommodation by your birding safari guide who will take you for the whole safari and start your journey to queen Elizabeth national park a home to over 600 species of birds and the number leading destination in Uganda with big counts of birds species and have En-route stop at Uganda equator line crossing in Masaka for photo moments and explore the sourviner markets around and later you will proceed with along the way birding and have lunch in the calm town of Mbarara and relaxation and later proceed to queen Elizabeth national park with more En-route birding reaching by evening and check into the booked lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 3: Morning birding and afternoon boat cruise on kazinga channel
Day 4: Transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha
Today you will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest and do En-route birding through Ishasha sector having chances to see species like honey guides, Apalises, starlings, raptors, tinker birds, barbets, pipits, chats among others and have an opportunity to see rare tree climbing lions reaching in Bwindi later afternoon and check in relax until dinner and overnight
Day 5: Gorilla trekking
Today we shall have early morning breakfast and meet your guide and transfer to the briefing point by ranger guides and on arrival at the briefing point, you will be divided into different groups which will trek different gorilla families with ranger guides for each group and the start and it takes over 2-7 hours to see gorillas and meeting with the gentle apes you will be allowed only for 1 hour while learning gorilla behaviors before trekking back at the starting point
Day 6: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park
Today you will have relaxed breakfast check out of the lodge to transfer to lake Mburo national park driving across the rolling hill slopes of Kabale and Kanungu and En-route birding reaching by Mbarara town by lunch time and check into the booked hotel for lunch and later proceed to Lake Mburo national park check into the park with en-route birding and game viewing and later check into the booked lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 7: Morning birding and afternoon boat ride
An early morning game drive in Lake Mburo national park to see zebras, elands, topi, waterbuck, and many more. common conspicuous birds seen include; crested francolin, emerald spotted wood dove , brown parrot, bare face go away bird, African grey hornbill, spot flanked barbet, Nubian woodpecker, trilling cisticola and many others. The woodland in the immediate vicinity of Rwonyo also supports many of these widespread species. Later afternoon enjoy a boat safari on Lake Mburo while birding. Return in the lodge for dinner and overnight stay
Day 8: drive back to Entebbe
Today you will have relaxed breakfast and check into the booked lodge and meet our drive guide to transfer to lake to Entebbe with en-route birding
Day 9: morning birding mabamba swamp and evening birding in the botanical gardens
You will have breakfast early in the morning and meet your driver guide to look for the rare and beautiful shoebill stork that resides in this wetland alongside other birds like papyrus Gonolek and other water bird species with 300 species of birds and therefore return to Entebbe for lunch and relaxation and the evening participate min birding at Entebbe botanical garden
Day 10: covid19 test and fly back home
Today you will have relaxed breakfast and transfer for covid19 test and later return for lunch to the hotel and relax until departure flight to transfer to the airport for departure.
