On your 10 days chimpanzee experience, you will visit kibale forest national park to meet chimps in their natural home with other 12 primate species also seen in kibale national park. You will then proceed to queen Elizabeth national park for wildlife experience and encounter at least big 5 and then continue to Bwindi to meet the endangered mountain gorilla drive through Ishasha sector for tree climbing lions and finally to lake Mburo national park for impalas and zebras.

DETAILED ITINERARY

Arrival day

Today on arrival at the Entebbe international airport or any of the one stop points of Uganda in busia, malamba, katuna  elegu  and mutukula , your safari guide of the trip from African skimmer tours will be eagerly waiting to receive you and transfer you at the book hotel.

Day 1: Pick up from place of accommodation and Transfer to kibale forest national park (primate capital of the world)

Today you will meet your drive guide after breakfast at 6:30am to start your journey to kibale forest national park, the drive takes around 5 to 6 hours  and have lunch stopover in fort portal town and then after pass by the kingdom of Toro palace and then proceed to kibale forest national park at the booked hotel

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking in kibale forest and afternoon swamp walk in bigodi

Today you will wake up early in the morning with served heavy breakfast and after meet your guide who will take you to the briefing point before chimp trek. The experienced ranger guide will take you through the briefing on what to expect and how to go through the forest and code of conduct.

After briefing, you will be allowed to start your trek through the tropical rain forest for the ultimate experience to meet the man’s closest relative and on meeting them you will be only to be with them for one hour. Then after lunch you will take swamp walk in bigodi community –proceed from this help in community development, and then come back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

The safari continues to Queen Elizabeth national park passing through the crater lakes region (depending on road condition) and enjoying views Rwenzori mountain ranges. You have an option of having late breakfast and then preparing. To leave after these.

You have an option of free afternoon at your lodge were you choose to relax and rest. Alternatively you can choose to take game drive through the park before proceeding to your lodge or you can take an afternoon village walk around your lodge.

 Day 4: Game drive and boat safari in Queen Elizabeth national park

Africa is the home to avast and unrivalled number of species leaving in the wild. Queen Elizabeth national park has the highest bio diversity of any protected area in Africa. The best times for game viewing are morning when the predators are looking out for prey and before they go back into hiding. You will be using the car that allows the roof to top up so the opportunities of watching the game are maximized. Enjoy and rare species which includes elephants, buffaloes and Uganda kobs.

In the afternoon enjoy boat cruise on kazinga channel towards Lake Edward where you will watch different wild animals that come to its waters and those that leave their in and numerous species of birds.

Day 5: Transfer to ishasha sector for tree climbing lions

Ishasha is in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth national park famous for the tree climbing lions. After their meals like to climb fig trees to rest, experience their winds but easily watch their prey as because of the high savanna grass. Today morning after a late breakfast, you will leave for ishasha for the lions, different bird species and other mammals

Day 6: Safari to the mountain gorillas in bwindi forest

Today after late breakfast, we leave for bwindi impenetrable national park-the home of half the world’s remaining mountain gorillas and UNESCO world heritage site.

If you missed seeing the previous day, you can choose today another game drive through the park to try another opportunity of sighting the tree climbing lions of ishasha

Day 7: Gorilla tracking in Buhoma

The ultimate time of safari experience is in the jungles of Africa spending with the gentle apes’ mountain gorillas. The adventure hiking through bwindi impenetrable forest in search for gorillas is the unique experience. You will start with the briefing from the ranger guides after which your are divided into groups to track different gorilla families.

You will then hike the forest in search gorillas with the leading from the ranger guides. Once you locate gorilla ranger guide, observe them for one hour after which you will start the walk out of the forest.

Day 8: Transfer to Lake Mburo national park

After the exhilarating experience in bwindi impenetrable forest coming face to face with the gorillas, your drive guide will pick you up after breakfast start your journey to the calm and beautiful lake mburo national park. Enjoy the winding roads from the kigezi region with stopovers for pictures.

You will have lunch in calm town of mbarara and relaxation and then aster proceed to Lake Mburo national with in-route game viewing to the selected place of accommodation for dinner and overnight

Day 9: Full day’s exploration of Lake Mburo

Today you will wake up with warm cup of coffee/tea and transfer for early morning game drive and early morning sunrise in Lake Mburo and have high chances of viewing games in their natural habitant like giraffes, zebras, Topi. Impalas, waterbucks, Elands and many more. You will return to the lodge for full breakfast and relax until lunch.

You will be picked up from your place of accommodation at 3:00pm and transferred to the amazing lake mburo for the adventure boat ride. You will have chance to experience more wildlife mammals and reptiles that stay in the lake like hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks, monitor lizards and bird life like pied kingfisher, cormorants, hammer kop and many more

You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 10:  transfer to Entebbe airport

The drive guide will pick after breakfast for short game drive before exiting the park. You will drive out park and stopover at the equator monument for lunch; have photo sessions in both the north and southern hemispheres.

This will end of your Uganda chimpanzee safari with dinner and overnight at selected place of accommodation Entebbe or Kampala

Departure day

On your last day with us, you will wake up and have relaxed breakfast depending on the time of your departure/flight. You will then be picked up and transferred to Entebbe airport or your declared border post and dropped for your departure
